General Fund Giving
The total general fund budget for 2007 is $2,556,000. This budget is prayerfully considered by the staff and elders of Greenwood Community Church to carry out the ministries that God calls us to participate in. The budget calls for a 7% increase in giving for 2007.

The general fund giving for 2006 ended a slightly short. In 2006, giving was budgeted to be $2,434,000, and gifts received totaled $2,393,000; a shortfall of $41,000.

The chart to  below shows the monthly giving budget for 2007. The giving is cyclical throughout the year. Each month’s budget is developed by considering the giving history for the last few years for that month. Expenses tend to be very consistent for each month. Because of this, expenses tend to run ahead of giving until the end of the year. December is historically a very big month for giving. This is the month the budget finally catches up.
