Program and Outreach

The Program and Outreach budgets represent about 13% of the budget at Greenwood Community Church. Each of these budgets is developed by staff to accomplish the Ministry Vision for that department.

Outreach
The outreach ministry of Greenwood Community Church is based on the philosophy of developing ministry partnerships, both locally and internationally. The distribution of the outreach ministries of Greenwood Community Church is based on the biblical instructions to go to all nations from “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Consequently, our ministries from our doorstep to distant lands are divided into Metro Denver ministry partnerships, Latin American ministry partnerships, and international ministry partnerships. Most of our international ministry partnerships are focused in Muslim nations.

Youth Ministries
Youth Ministries includes the High School and Middle School Ministries. Where to goals include building relationships with students and walking alongside them, helping them to know Jesus and experience the fullness of Christ for their lives.

Children’s Ministry
Our vision is connecting families and children to Jesus Christ through intentional, loving relationships and the word of God. Sunday Children's Church, ages infant through 5th grade, 9:00 and 10:45.  To check out a sample of our curriculum, go to www.myfirstlook.com (for 2- to 5-year-olds) and www.252basics.org (for kindergarten to 5th grade). The Lodge, ages 4 through 5th grade. For children who attend both services.

Music and Worship
Our desire is to encourage the body of Greenwood Community Church in authentic worship both corporately and personally. We seek to create an environment that encourages listening to the Spirit of God, prayer, celebration, and liberation. We believe that worship happens in every ministry of our church. And that worship no only looks upward, but outward.

Adult Education
Adult Education classes offer interaction, study, and fellowship with application to our daily living during the week. We are blessed to have these classes led by a pastor, an elder, or someone from the body of Greenwood who has come forward to take a leadership role. Classes that are focused on dealing with the individual and their strengths and weaknesses. Classes and seminars include: dealing with marriage and family, support groups, addiction recovery, personal financial planning, and other topics that can be helpful to our congregation, their families, and friends.

Congregational Life
Congregational Lifeis the most common starting place for our members as we seek how to explore our spiritual needs within the congregation. Other ministries serve specific groups of people with a common gender or age perspective – Men, Women, High School, Children, etc. The focus here is to locate and participate in activities that can satisfy our individual walks with Jesus. Congregational Life serves the congregation as a whole and you as an individual with both private and public needs.
Church Plants
Planting churches has always been an important of the mission os GCC.  Every year money is added to the fund to help launch the next mission church we are called to help support.
