What Your Giving Supports
General Operating Fund
Through our Sunday offerings and special gifts, the General Operating Fund provides the financial backbone for all the ministries at Greenwood Community Church.
This fund sustains everything that happens here, from Sunday worship services to programs for children and youth, from care ministry to community outreach and missions. A full 65 percent our annual operating budget supports our pastoral and administrative staff who serve our congregation and community through core ministries at Greenwood.
Congregational Needs Fund
Once a month, on communion Sunday, a special offering is received at the end of our services for the Congregational Needs Fund. This fund allows us to provide direct support to Greenwood families that are experiencing severe financial hardship due to very challenging circumstances. Our Director of Caring Ministry oversees this fund in conjunction with several current and past Elders.
Building Fund
Many members have contributed to our Building Fund to support the facility we call home. In recent years, we secured a loan that made it possible for us to complete a significant addition and renovation project. Our debt has been paid down to $3.05 million. All giving to this fund is used to further reduce the debt.
