Dear Confirming Your Faith Parents,
I can’t believe we have one class meeting left. That’s right; this coming Sunday is our last meeting. During this week’s class we will be wrapping up a few topics, but dedicating most of our time to the sharing of your student’s Personal Faith Statement. This is very important and is the only assigned homework for the entire class. We gave each student present last week a sheet that detailed the topics they should include in their Personal Faith Statement. Just in case they lost it, I have attached a Word version of the sheet to this email. Please, please, please, work with your child to complete this task. It needs to be one to two pages long, needs to be in their own words, and needs to express their personal belief in God, the Bible, heaven, hell, eternity, forgiveness, etc. (see attachment for more detail). Don’t let them wait until Sunday to begin; we really want them to give this some thought.
During class, each student will stand up and share their Personal Faith Statement. It is OK to read right from the page, no need to memorize. This is a powerful opportunity for your child to congeal their thoughts and feelings about their relationship with God. It is also a chance to publicly share their faith in Jesus Christ. You are welcome and encouraged to join us for class. If there are any questions please give us a call, we are more than happy to help. It has been our pleasure to have had the opportunity to get to know you and your kids, and to be a positive influence for God in their lives.
In His greatest blessings,
