Objectives
- Encourage fathers to grow in their relationships with God and their sons
- Equip fathers in how to bless their sons and usher them into manhood
- Connect groups of fathers and sons together in meaningful relationships
- Identify and celebrate a rite of passage together
Reminders
- Discovery-driven learning (experiences vs. information)
- Father and son interaction (growth comes through experience and dialogue)
- This is only the beginning (start of the next level relationship with your son)
- No formulas (life can’t be orchestrated, it must be lived)
What we’ll do
- Read Wild at Heart and Raising a Modern-Day Knight
- Join father forums in the Fall to interact with other dads
- Experience the father/son challenges and group events in the Winter and Spring
- Complete self-guided “Passport to Purity” retreat with son
- Connect with a group of other dads for encouragement
- Share in “blessing” ceremony together
Some Important Dates and Times
- January-May, The Wild Challenge takes place with several fun and interactive events meant to stir meaningful conversations with you & your son. (Topics include: Success, Failure, Relationships, Work, and Faith). Each of these events will be preceded by a challenge sheet, which will give you a road map to interacting with your son one-on-one before we do the group event.
