South Africa 2010

This summer, 13 high school students and 3 leaders will embark on a journey that will span many, many miles. We are excited to be the pioneers in what we hope and pray will be a long-term relationship with partners in South Africa. Our time in South Africa will be spent between two of the major cities, Johannesburg and Cape Town. Some of the relationships that we will explore involve ministries that work directly with children and families affected by AIDS. South Africa has the highest percentage of infected people of any country in the world. This challenge, as well as the abject poverty that exists, will provide this team with significant challenges as we intercede for the people of South Africa and explore how our faith intersects with such harsh conditions.

You are able to support this team in a number of ways. As we move closer to the time of the trip and become more aware of the needs of the ministries we will work with in South Africa we will post them here, but for now here are the ways that you can support this team.

Financially. Trips of this nature always involve the team raising support for the trip. Prayer. Most times people take this aspect of support and see it somehow less valuable than the financial support. Please do not think that way! Your prayer support for this team before and during the trip is an invaluable resource to us. Throughout this trip there will be many challenges and your prayer support will help this navigate this challenges and be open to what God has for us.
