This ministry works as Greenwood's arms that reach out to those in the congregation with love and warmth.
Funerals
We come alongside families who have just lost a loved one and help them plan the memorial service.
Prayer Shawl
We create prayer shawls to be given to those going through a difficult time. These shawls are lovingly handmade and prayed over.
Visitation
We visit and pray for those facing a medical crisis and needing comfort.
Card Ministry
We send words of encouragement in a card to someone struggling with a serious illness, a loss of a loved one or other hardship.
Meal Ministry
This ministry provides meals to Greenwood families struggling in some way - those recovering from an injury, on bed rest or experiencing a death in the family. Another way to serve in this ministry is by delivering the meals each week to recipients.
Prayer Chain
We provide prayer support for those going through difficult times.
Financial Advisors
We provide a process for members to receive budgeting assistance and request financial aid in emergency situations.
Stephen Ministry
Christian caregivers walk beside, pray with, or care for people going through a difficult time or transition. Stephen Ministers partner with people who are struggling with large life transitions, loneliness or fear. Training to serve as a Stephen Minister is offered annually each fall.
