Our missions and outreach ministries are designed to help you find your unique niche in the kingdom of God. We have numerous venues to help you get involved in ministries both locally and globally.

Local Ministries

Confluence Ministries

Located at 1400 Quitman Street on Denver's west side, the Confluence Ministries Center is the site for these ongoing programs: Whiz Kids tutoring; bilingual MOPS; English as Second Language; GED preparation; ministry to internationals and numerous other volunteer opportunities.

Extreme Community Makeover

The Extreme Community Makeover creates a partnership between volunteers and community members as we work with one another on home and neighborhood improvement projects such as painting houses, cleaning yards, repairing fences, and doing other projects identified by community members, all while building relationships. Good Neighbor Garage

A faith-based charity that helps low-wage families obtain reliable vehicles at affordable prices. They rely on donations of vehicles and financial contributions. Do you have a vehicle that you don't need or one that needs repairs you don't want to make? Consider donating the vehicle to Good Neighbor Garage. International Ministries

Greenwood's international ministries are primarily focused on the Muslim world. We have ministry partners working in a wide variety of roles in numerous countries. We also have ongoing ministry in Mexico and Central America, specifically Nicaragua. Watch for announcements about upcoming trips. We want to help you connect with God's purpose for you life. If you have a direction or ministry God is nudging you toward, we would value the opportunity to help connect you with a local or international ministry.

Voluntourism at Villa Chelsey

Honduras

Greenwood is partnering with Bob and Marly Dragoo, members of Greenwood Community Church, to make “voluntourism” available in Honduras. (Voluntourism is travel which includes volunteering for a charitable or ministry cause.) Villa Chelsea is a bed and breakfast inn located in Valle de Angeles, approximately 20 minutes by car away from Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras.There are numerous ways for people to enjoy the beautiful country of Honduras, while serving its wonderful people. There are opportunities to teach English to local children and young people, help in the local medical clinic, assist in a local orphanage, partner with local churches, or work with a developing eco-village, and much more.In addition to the many ways to minister, there are also numerous opportunities to be a turista. Honduras offers a wide variety of tourist places and activities. For example, you can visit the unique town of Copan near the Guatemalan border and the Mayan ruins at the edge of the town. Or take a day to visit one of the Honduran resorts on the Caribbean. If you want sun and sand Honduras offers scuba diving, snorkeling, and all water sports off the beautiful resort island of Roatan. In addition, the tropical rainforest of the Moskitia region offers extreme experiences in ecotourism, while the capital city of Tegucigalpa affords the amenities of most large cities. Musana Children's Home (MCH)

Iganga-Uganda

Iganga is one of two Muslim districts in Uganda. Most of the children come from polygamist homes. There are 80 children living at MCH and 80 day students who attend MCH Nursery & Primary School. MCH also has a farm, cafe in town, church and community projects which promote self sustainability. There are volunteer and sponsorship opportunities available.
