Latin America Ministry Partners

Amigos Ministries was started by Gary Oberg, a longtime Greenwood Community Church member, after several trips to the poor colonias of Ciudad Juarez. Over the years, more than 700 Greenwood Community Church folks of all ages have served the people of Mexico by building houses, churches, orphanages, schools, and dining halls. In addition, through Amigos Ministries many people have received food, clothing, and training. Beside short-term mission trips to Juarez, Amigos Ministries has led trips to other locales in Mexico. Check this web site for information on future mission trips.

Through our partnership with Global Connection International, Cameron Syke, one of Greenwood Community Church’s elders, has been taking regular trips with others to partner with the growing churches in Cuba. Relatedly, a group of men called Hermanos meet monthly to explore more effective ways to follow and serve Jesus Christ.
