Welcome to Missions and Outreach at Greenwood!

Greenwood Missions comes alongside God’s beautiful kingdom work of rescue and restoration in a lost and broken world.  We aim to be a catalyst to help awaken peoples’ hearts towards God’s heart for others and the world. We do this by living out our faith where we live, work and play. We also have the privilege of partnering with phenomenal ministries locally and globally, serving with them in a myriad of ways, including mission trips.  Let us help you take a step into being a part of God’s beautiful kingdom work.

2017 MISSIONS PROJECT

Emmanne Ministries

Greenwood Community Church has the privilege of partnering with several ministries around the world. The 2017 Missions Project is an opportunity to financially give a larger amount to one specific ministry and project to help expand their kingdom impact.  After much prayer and discussion involving seven varied international projects, the Missions Team has selected Emmanne Ministries, in Theri, Kenya, as the one ministry we will focus our 2017 financial efforts on. Emmanne’s vision is “Shaping Lives in Theri, Kenya with the Good News of Jesus Christ.”  Their five initiatives are a Children’s Home, a Healthcare and Medical Clinic, a Christian High School,  a church plant, and a Job-Creation Training Center.  Building the Children’s Home will be the first priority on the five acres of land that have been given to them.

Emmanne Ministries has already raised $31,000. We are giving $20,000 through the missions budget and $20,000 through the missions fund (money that people donate to Greenwood specifically to be spent on missions). Our goal is to help them attain a total of $100,000 in order to begin the building project. Please prayerfully consider helping with the remaining $29,000 by partnering with Emmanne Ministries (we can receive stock donations as well).

2 CORINTHIANS 5:14-15

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
